Reporting to Manager, Process and Systems Improvement, Strategic Transformation & Improvement, BCW, the Process & Systems Improvement Leader is responsible for various systems improvement and transformation initiatives aligned to C&W Directional Plan.

What you’ll do

  • Establish detailed project charter, plans and objectives to outline timelines and project deliverables.
  • Facilitate the project using Lean/CQI methodologies, ensures successful and coordinated completion of project components, facilitate consensus with leaders and stakeholders as needed and ensure readiness for project implementation.
  • Track project progress according to project plan and identified metrics.
  • Monitor and report on the status of projects and major barriers encountered.
  • Make decisions and recommendations regarding projects scope and related changes required to facilitate a successful outcome.
  • Implement or contribute to the implementation of effective processes to assess project risks, identify risk mitigation strategies and monitor risk throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develops and monitors project budgets within the context of operational demands and environmental and resource constraints and uses best practice methods to thoroughly monitor and adhere to allocated budgets. Responsibilities include reporting variance, planning and adjusting operations and/or staffing to meet projections and annual targets, approving expenditures and preparing summaries and is accountable for its own operating budget.
  • Implement quality improvement/Lean initiatives and recommends policy or practice changes related to all aspects of patient care, cross-functional and business operations.

What you bring

  • A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration or relevant health care discipline.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years recent, related experience in transformational change and project management and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups.

You also have:

  • Excellent communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment including ability to communicate with the physician community and leaders.
  • Formal training and certification in LEAN, Continuous Quality Improvement, Change Management, and Project Management preferred.
  • Computer literacy with word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project management and database applications.

Job Type: Regular Full-Time
Salary Range: $77,822-$111,869/year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.
