Rossdown Feeds Ltd is a Feed mill that produces and manufactures the feed for Rossdown’s and its customer’s farms. Rossdown Feeds purchases the feed from suppliers, we do not have our crops.

Rossdown Feeds Ltd is owned by the Rossdown Group, which is an integrated farm to plate poultry company, we produce the feed, broiler breeders that supply fertilized eggs to our hatchery that supply our broiler farms which supply our processing plant.

Position: 2 Production Labourers – Food Processing

Job Description:

· Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials throughout plant and warehouse manually, or with powered equipment

· Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines or mobile tank trucks

· Clean work area and equipment

· Check products and packaging for basic quality defects

· assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties

· Load feed truck with complete finished feed

· Receive bulk rail and truck Ingredients (grain/Meal)

Requirements:

· Education: Some secondary school is an asset

· Experience: On-the-job training will be provided. Previous experience working in a food-processing environment is considered an asset, but it is not required.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

· Ability to work in a dusty environment.

· Must be able to stand 100 of the workdays

· Physically fit and able to lift, push, and/or pull, heavy loads of up to 60 lbs (27kg).

· Basic English is considered an asset.

Personal Suitability: Accurate, Flexibility, Reliability

Weight Handling: Up to 27 kg (60 lbs)

Salary: $18.50 at 40-45 Hours per week

Important Information: The position requires extended work hours and flexibility in schedule. Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday start between 12-2 will work 8 -10-hour days. Weekend work and overtime will be required depending on the business needs.
