Job description: Motion Canada, a leading distributor of industrial MRO (maintenance, repair and operation replacement) parts, and the largest Bearing and Power Transmission Company in NA is currently recruiting for a Production Painter (Manufacturing) in our North Bay, Ontario location. Our North Bay facility provides a number of different services within its 120,000 square-foot facility, including assembly. The key responsibilities include painting and packaging components and equipment in our Production facility.
Job Responsibilities
- To work safely while using appropriate equipment to paint and package components and equipment
- Maintain a safe, clean and tidy workplace
- Ability to identify defects, and non-conformances issues and be able to get the appropriate people involved to help
- Advise shop foreman of any safety, paint or packaging issues
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives to maintain high levels of quality in our products
- Prioritize workload and meet deadlines with minimum supervision
- Take additional training as required
- Any other duties as specified by your supervisor
Requirements
- Good English skills, verbal and written
- Ability to apply paint to components and machinery with precision
- Ability to wrap and package components and machinery
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
- Strong ability to prioritize objective based on timelines
- Ability to multitask in a highly dynamic environment
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be a team player providing support for other team members when needed
