About this team
The Digital Architecture Team is responsible for ensuring that lululemon’s business objectives are effectively translated into successful, outcomes driven, and value driving technology implementations. The platforms and services that this organization operates are responsible for a significant share of lululemon’s revenue and this role is a key support that helps facilitate decision making, planning and strategic development processes allowing efficient delivery across the portfolio. Effective performance in this role requires the ability to align a diverse stakeholder group and to synchronize business leaders and technology role specialists.
A day in the life:
· Accountable to track and manage key engineering and architecture resources across a portfolio of 30+ delivery teams.
· Design and operate the process for managing and tracking key engineering capabilities across all teams and distributes data to team leaders and divisional leadership.
· Design and operate process for managing Global Digital’s strategic architecture and foundational technology backlogs and actively drives coordination with all product, program, engineering and business managers.
· Administrates and coordinates engineer and architect onboarding program across Global Digital Technology
· Administrate and coordinate technical learning and development program for Global Digital Technology
· Serves as key coordinator between GDAE and Enterprise Architecture, Security, Cloud Enablement, Enterprise Planning & Portfolio Management and Site Reliability Engineering
· A consistent and scalable onboarding process for engineers and architects across Global Digital Technology
· Clear guidance and supporting data that defines the investments needed to drive improvement in engineering capabilities
· Resource and allocation plans for all architects across portfolio
· Technical Product backlog and management process for individual delivery teams
· Accessible and up-to-date guidance for technology usage and engineering patterns and standards of practice
· Primary Domain roadmaps and foundational investment priority
· Schedules and actively runs architecture and engineering program reviews with leaders and managers
· Actively manages learning and development opportunities in coordination with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Cloud Enablement and People, Communications and Outreach Program; administrates any learning platform access and costs.
· Collects and tracks architecture and engineering KPIs across 30+ delivery teams
· Collects, tracks and reports on Engineering Integrity and standard delivery capabilities
· Designs and operates intake and prioritization process that produces strategic architecture roadmaps and investment priorities; primarily support AOP and Strategic Planning activities and manages resource demand within Global Digital Technology
· Accountable partner to ensure that solution designs are scaled and designed appropriately against program budget requirements across a portfolio of =
$60M capex annually.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent. Post graduate degree preferred
· Must have 5+ years experience in architect, engineering or program management roles with enterprise-scale design responsibilities.
· Must have 2+ years experience in leading teams.
· Preferred 2+ years experience in hands on software engineering and delivery.
· Preferred large enterprise experience in a matrixed environment.
· Must have knowledge and/or experience with technologies applied to consumer-facing technology at global scale.
· Experience communicating to software engineering and knowledge of architecture and design
· Experience in Agile Solution Engineering operations, knowledge of Scrum philosophy and experience with Asana or Jira
· Must have an understanding of enterprise security and privacy requirements associated with the above technologies.
· Demonstrated experience collaborating on latest technologies with Engineers and Architects.
· Extensive background in working with business partners: Translating business needs into prioritized technology features and requirements.
· Consistent record of being results oriented with demonstrated ability to achieve bold goals
· Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills.
· Must excel working in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others.
