Golder has a new opportunity for a Project Finance Support to join our team on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract basis in Brisbane. The role will assist Project Managers to the setup and maintenance of project work breakdown structures and budgets, lead the invoicing process, and provide support to revenue recognition procedures. You will have fantastic interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting Project Managers to devise appropriate Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs) for their projects, preferably at proposal stage, to ensure ease of set up, maintenance, and billing;
  • Setting up projects in the accounting system (BST) using the devised WBS to meet Golder and Client invoicing format and revenue recognition requirements;
  • Understanding and meeting client specific billing schedules;
  • Producing client invoices, credit notes, and back up documentation for a mix of Lump Sum and Time & Materials based projects;
  • Assisting the project team in identifying and monitoring project budget and revenue variances, providing support in assessing for accuracy, and where appropriate rectifying;
  • Assisting Project Managers to complete revenue recognition requirements and documenting invoicing and collection activities;
  • Developing and producing reports to assist Project Managers in analysing project performance;
  • Assisting the project team in resolving financial problems and forecasting project costs and cashflow;

Qualifications

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Previous experience in Project Financial Support/ Project Accounting role or similar;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task;
  • Great organisational and time management skills with a focus of quality delivery;
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office in particular Excel and experience using BST will be advantageous.
