Job Description

In anticipation of a change in the focus of the work on our client’s project, from support to project delivery to support the creation of the Project Archive and related project closeout activities, there is a requirement to add an additional Project Manager.

Our client is looking for a resource with a degree or diploma in library sciences, and experience in the field of archive management, who would be able to work independently to create a well-structured long-term archive, and to support project closeout activities.

Given the timeline for ramping up project closeout activities and the training timelines, DND would like to have a resource with the requisite qualifications in place by the end of December.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements

  • University degree or diploma in library sciences, and experience in the field of archive management at the Bachelor’s level, or higher.
  • At least one (1) year of Relevant project management experience in the last five (5) years, (measured back from the date of bid closing).
  • Personnel Security Clearance: Individual tasks may require up to a maximum clearance of Secret (Level 2).
  • Demonstrated work experience in at least two (2) of the following:
  • Integration Management including project plan management, project plan execution, and overall project change control;
  • Scope Management including planning, definition, verification, and change control of scope;
  • Time Management including the definition, sequencing, and duration estimation of activities, and the development and control of schedules;
  • Cost Management including resource planning, cost budgeting, and cost control;
  • Quality Management including quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control;
  • Human Resource Management including organizational planning and team development;
  • Communications Management including communications planning, information distribution, performance reporting, and administrative closure;
  • Risk Management including risk identification, risk quantification, risk response development, and risk response control;
  • Procurement Management including assisting in source selection, contract administration, and contract closeout;
  • Project Integration, including project plan management, project plan execution, and overall project change control;
  • Project Requirements Management, including requirements analysis, requirements management planning, and requirements management tool use & support;
  • Airborne or space-based remote sensing;
  • Space-related systems (e.g. ground segment, space segment, space to ground communications);
  • Formulation, drafting, development, update, and refinement of various plans, documents, and project deliverables required for the planning, decision making, approval, implementation, control, and delivery of projects; and,
  • Requirements analysis or management using the Requirements Management tool (DOORSTM).
