Job title: Quality Officer – Residential Construction
Job description: Seymour Pacific Developments is looking for a Quality Officer to join our residential construction team in Winnipeg, MB.
The Quality Officer will be responsible for conducting quality control inspections, identifying issues and communicating deficiencies with site staff. With high attention to detail, the role inspects all aspects of each new construction build within the assigned region. The Quality Officer communicates regularly with the head office Quality Control department regarding inspection schedules and results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform construction inspections on multi-family residential developments
- Produce deficiency reports for sites and the company to ensure a smooth turnover
- Maintain various schedules for inspections for multiple locations
- Ensure expected levels of quality standards are maintained
- Analyze the execution of work being performed
- Create and update reports for management and sites
- Troubleshoot product issues and product installation procedures
- Uphold the job related safety regulations, policies and procedures
- Participate in safety/ training/ incidents investigations and reviews when required
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the residential construction industry
- Strong background of building techniques, building codes, and safety regulations associated with the construction of multi-story apartment buildings
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural schematics, and other construction drawings
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Able to establish good working relationships with different people, including other foremen, trade persons, supervisors and labourers
