Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Rating Clerk will support our fantastic Accounts Department. You are self-motivated, able to work independently, yet an integral team player.

If you have great communication skills, attention to detail, and are willing to learn new skills then this is the position for you. During training, this will be a Monday to Friday position, eventually moving to a 4 x 10 hour shift.

About the position:

• Verify data to ensure accuracy and completeness when billing Customer orders
• Assist in maintaining accurate documentation for orders and verify any excess time claimed by the driver and bill to customer where the excess time has been deemed correct
• Enter and allocate payments received to appropriate accounts
• Reconcile accounts and contact customers with overdue accounts
• Create Excel spreadsheets to monitor customer account details for nonpayment, delayed payments and other irregularities
• Other duties as assigned

What you bring:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role with high volumes of data processing
• Willingness to learn and an aptitude for mathematics and related problem solving abilities are required
• Well organized, detail oriented, with a roll up your sleeves attitude towards work
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Above average Microsoft Excel skills
• Previous billing or receivables invoicing experience and knowledge of the transportation industry is an asset
• Systems experience including Great Plains accounting software and the TMW System is an asset
