Job description: What You Will Do
- Develop broad operational experience through analysis, integrating and influencing across teams, and delivering solutions that are value add to the organization
- Work with data to identify and interpret issues, analyze root causes, and draw out actionable, data-driven, strategic insights to work toward resolution
- Work with business stakeholders to determine business process improvements and optimization of the end-to-end process from promo planning to delivery of goods to store.
- Maintain documentation and provide knowledge transfer for other team members where needed.
- Evaluate gaps in process and operational support documentation and implement plan to address gaps.
- Act as incident and problem coordinator where required.
- Support the facilitation of regular meetings and working sessions with key stakeholders and various teams to address ongoing issues that require further understanding or analysis.
- Form a partnership with the business teams to deeply understand their business to enable the capture of clear, concise, and correct business requirements
- Provide project management support using approved project management processes, tools, and techniques
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by information sharing and team cooperation
- Assist with process building, from requirements gathering to implementation and execution
- Develop new reporting and scorecarding; maintain and revamp existing reports and tools
- Perform ad-hoc reporting/post-mortem analysis to solve various business problems
What You Need To Succeed
- University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Mathematics, or equivalent demonstrated interest in operations and supply chain
- Experience in an analyst or consultant role with exposure to multiple divisions at Canadian Tire or other retail environment, CPG or equivalent
- Strong data management & analysis, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and data-driven insights and decision making
- Solid presentation, facilitation, interview, and workshop skills
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome confusion, simplify complex situations, mitigate unexpected change and be able to communicate impacts
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues at various levels of the organization
- Highly organized and detail oriented, able to tackle multiple projects with varying scope
- Agile and innovative individuals, who can manage in an environment of change and ambiguity
- Strong business/financial acumen and demonstrated ability to deliver within condensed timelines
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Collaborative team player that successfully builds cross-functional relationships to drive results
