Job description: Position Requirements

• Previous Safety Watch experience in a plant setting preferred
• Basic knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Codes and WCB legislation
• Knowledge of safety systems, procedures and policies and practices
• Previous exposure to an industrial environment
• Must possess and maintain a valid Alberta Drivers’ License
• Able to meet requirements of Physical Demands Analysis
• Achieve 100% completion of mandatory Quinn and client training
• Pre-access Drug & Alcohol test
• Training Required: CSTS-2020, Fall Arrest (full), Confined Space, Client approved Fire Extinguisher ticket

Position Description

• Proficient in all aspects of industrial site permitting and safe work practices and procedures
• Demonstrate competency with worksite inspection Safety watch for confined entries and hot work
• Champion Quinn and client safety objectives and goals
• Able to interpret and apply Safe Work Procedures, as well as OH&S safety regulations, standards and practices
• Provide support to the Corporate Health Safety and Environment department
• Provide basic safety training as required
• Actively promote environmental awareness and responsible behaviour
• Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Must be willing to complete general labour duites in addition to Safety Watch
• Familiarity with client and Quinn Health Safety and Environment standards, policies, procedures, programs, and guidelines will be considered an asset
