Builds and maintains a trusted-advisor relationship with decision makers at small to medium size businesses or public sector industries through social, digital, video, demos, chat, phone and in person meetings. Creates and positions product offerings and cross platform ecosystem integration through selling motions end-to-end, direct partnerships, and aligning value propositions of solutions to increase customers’ utilizations. Monitors and updates Customer Relation Management (CRM) systems and tools and ensures accurate updates for the customer journey. Forecasts, pitches, prices, and delivers on products and services related to sales deals. Builds and facilitates sales pipelines from beginning to end for net-new and repeat revenue. Collaborates with corporate, Outbound Sales, and SMB/EDU Sales Representatives to establish new connections through lead generation and leverages existing business and education contacts to engage in events hosted virtually and offsite.
Customer Obsession
- Builds and maintains a trusted-advisor relationship with decision makers at small to medium size businesses or public sector industries (e.g., education organizations) through social, digital, video, demos, chat, phone and in person meetings. Pursues and leverages advanced knowledge of current Microsoft’s key differentiators within the market to promote brand awareness, grow sales pipelines, and drive sales and support.
- Creates and positions product offerings and cross platform ecosystem integration through selling motions end-to-end, direct partnerships, and aligning value propositions of hardware, software, and cloud solutions to increase customers’ utilizations; proactively learns of changing environment, circumstances, and situations.
- Monitors and updates Customer Relation Management (CRM) systems and tools and ensures timely, accurate, and comprehensive updates related to current customer journey. Manages and adapts to a constantly growing client list and advocates for client hardware and software refresh or upgrades. Forecasts, pitches, prices, and delivers on products and services related to sales deals. Engages in detailed story-telling to convey how Microsoft products and services can improve customer needs and experiences. Drives business to business (B2B) interactions to bolster sales and maximize relationship. Helps create a seamless customer transition.
- If you are assigned to a location with a Microsoft Experience Center (MEC) or Company Store (ECS), a portion of your time may be spent serving customers in the MEC or ECS as business requires.
Revenue/Sales
- Curates, articulates, and sales cloud services, platforms, hardware, and software to prospective and current clients, and showcases the ways in which these services benefit the recipients. Markets and closes software as a service (SaaS) deals to meet aggressive complete solution (e.g., cloud, device) sales goals to ensure year over year growth. Mentors other team members regarding product positioning and how to close sales.
- Builds and facilitates sales pipelines from beginning to end for net-new and repeat revenue. Drives purchase orders (PO) and ensures agreed upon complete solution numbers align with the sales agreement. Ensures delivery of solutions through third-party delivery services or white-glove delivery. Acts as a primary point of contact for customers before, during, and after sales deals. Accurately outlook sales pipeline across devices and cloud solutions.
Drive For Results
- Engages with customers to determine their needs and identify opportunities to solve and sell with Microsoft’s leading cloud and device solutions; effectively turns prospects and qualified leads into opportunities and revenue pipeline and recommends relevant cross sell opportunities. Utilizes services (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator) to engage dormant, existing customers, new education institutions, and new sales opportunities. Actively seeks opportunities from other business areas and owns these opportunities for account development. Drives customer success through leveraging the value propositions.
Collaboration
- Engages and collaborates with peers, managers, and corporate to develop and drive innovative ways to create and focus on brand awareness within the market and ensure a One Microsoft approach to increase the corporate footprint.
- Collaborates with corporate, Outbound Sales, and SMB/EDU Sales Representatives to establish new connections through lead generation and leverages existing business and education contacts to engage in events hosted virtually and offsite.
Learning
- Completes all required training and obtains relevant product and role certifications aligned to the role and workload/industry; proactively asks for help and is open to feedback and coaching from managers and teammates; seeks advanced knowledge of sales techniques and Microsoft products; mentors less experienced staff on the team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED AND 3+ years sales or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to communicate (written and oral) in French
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 4+ years sales or equivalent experience
- OR High school diploma/GED AND 6+ years sales or equivalent experience
