JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking to hire an Operational Care Specialist for our Revenue Care Centre / FSL (Forwarding Sub Ledger) team. We are open to hiring professionals located anywhere across Canada.

Your Role
The Forwarding Sub Ledger (FSL) Specialist is responsible for daily FSL handling and to ensure Gross Profit is maximized. The Forwarding Sub ledger (FSL) is a listing of Turnover, Trade Expenses and Gross Profit . Detection and correction of financial discrepancies is a top priority and clear expectation. Root cause analysis and engagement with stakeholders to implement corrective actions is fundamental to the role. Success is highly dependent on strong collaboration and communication.

Your Responsibilities
Professional experience required:
Responsible for daily FSL handling with the aim to ensure zero deferrals at month end.
All open files are to be handled with focus on maximizing Gross Profit.
Resolve all excessive profit/loss files and escalate any repeating accounts to supervisor.
Address any incorrect accruals and ensure correct accruals are being entered in future as well as checking old accruals and making sure there are no double entries.
Entering any missing accruals in FSL if needed to reflect the true financial state of the file.
Root cause analysis on expected Gross Profit discrepancies to improve auto FSL closing.
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure we achieve GP targets.
In depth understanding of FSL Key Performance Indicator with clear and measured efforts applied to achieve in all areas.
Other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Your Skills and Experiences
Professional experience required:
1-2 years’ experience in Transportation, Logistics is required.
Preferred 2+ years’ experience in a financial role

Knowledge required:
Incoterms and payment terms.
Basic Finance and profit loss statements.
Preferred Working knowledge of financial systems.

Education required:
High School Diploma
Preferred Degree/Diploma in International Business, Finance, Transportation, Logistics, Commerce, Administration or a related field

Skills
Enhanced Math , communication skills (English verbal and written)
Proficient computer and keyboarding (Microsoft Word & Excel)
Strong organizational and time management, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines
Proven ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
