Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
  • 10+ years years of experience in an enterprise or solution Security Architecture role or a related information /cybersecurity field.
  • Leadership experience managing security architecture or cyber security teams to manage risk and meet the needs of the business.
  • Ability to serve as the top technical individual expert who can impart knowledge of architecture related to specific domains or broad range of architecture frameworks, technologies, tools, processes, procedures and broader technologies and relevant issues.
  • Advanced and highly specialized knowledge of TD applications, programming languages, industry best practices, the business and associated standards, infrastructure and architectural design and solutions and governance.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing technical leadership, consulting and direction to a larger team on all aspects of architecture to ensure advanced learning occurs.
  • Foresight on architectural issues and gaps and can identify emerging industry trends (i.e. future focused).
  • Proactive thinking when it comes to providing recommendations on value-added architectural improvements and enhancements.
  • Experience in a Security Architecture role leading a team of security professionals, preferably within the financial services industry.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Enterprise or solution architecture using a recognized architecture methodology or framework is an asset (SABSA, TOGAF, Zachman)
  • One or more certification in the following areas (or equivalent): CISSP, CCSP, SSCP, CISA, CISM.
  • Relevant work experience in security technologies and practices (e.g. Intrusion Detection, Authentication Mechanisms, Enterprise Security tools, Endpoint and infrastructure security, data protection, application security, etc.) with a broad understanding across multiple IT disciplines and emerging trends
  • Knowledge of Security Management frameworks and control standards (e.g. ISO 27002, NIST CSF, COBIT etc.)

Job Description

Meaningful work is fueled by meaningful performance and career development conversations with your manager. Here’s some of what you may be asked to perform:

  • Perform leadership and team management related activities to ensure seamless integration with solution teams related to ISA governance, Architecture Review Board, and the Global Technology Architecture Council
  • Communicate with Architecture and other TS executives as needed on escalations and solution issues.
  • Partner with architects, technology and business to develop clear, well understood security boundaries for projects.
  • Manage assurance/governance work intake and demand, coordinating resources as required; identify and source appropriate resources across all work streams, ensure all resources are used effectively.
  • Influence solution direction and/or vendor product selections across cross-functional teams and fulfill an architecture governance role ensuring security architecture recommendations are clear and consider best value for the enterprise.
  • Set objectives for team members, communicate progress regularly, grow team expertise to align with business and enterprise needs, assess team skills and capabilities and continually look for ways to provide and enhance the value delivered.
  • Establish and foster a cohesive and collaborative team; promote a fair and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce and encourage the team to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Grow team expertise so it aligns with company demand and TD’s direction; assess team skills and capabilities and find ways to improve value delivered.
  • Assign and oversee resources on risk assessments, required controls definition and control procedure appropriateness.
  • Provide coaching, development, succession, recruitment, resource management and overall team leadership for team members, regularly contribute to performance and development plans.
  • Provides strategy, process management, facilitation & coordination
