Job Description

We are looking for someone that will work with our Global Security and Protection Services (GSPS) team to develop and implement security awareness, training, and education programs for all Shopify employees. Given that the workforce works remotely, program development and implementation will need to focus on virtual and alternate mediums for delivery. The outcome of this program will achieve behavior change and enhance a culture of being security informed and aware, so as to prevent and effectively mitigate and manage security threats, risks, and incidents.

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and managing a positive security and emergency management awareness program that focuses on changing behaviors within the work environment, including Shopify workplaces, events, travel and working from home

Consulting with internal communication partners to develop and promote internal-facing security messaging

Using learning theory and technical knowledge to create, procure and manage awareness for training and education content, leveraging various mediums for effective delivery in our global organization

Developing tools and metrics for the purpose of monitoring compliance on training and its impact on awareness and education deliverables

Developing and implementing security awareness and training programs that target various Shopifolk, this includes new hires, leaders, and at risk employees (by nature of role or geographic location- including events)

Building strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including GSPS team specialists and internal operations subject matter experts

Monitoring and identifying organizational and behavioral security threats, risks and trends that will require mitigation strategies via the SATE program;

Building and maintaining relationships with security education and awareness external vendors and industry partners

Working alongside other Shopify technical education teams and communication teams to integrate security context into existing company wide education programs

Researching and updating preferred security training venues in support of the GSPS

Consulting with our Talent partners to develop and maintain training, experience and qualification requirements as it related to our security stream of employments

Developing tools, processes and templates to ensure that new GSPS programs are effectively implemented through training and education

Regularly reviewing GSPS programs with program leads to identify gaps and opportunities as it relates to training and awareness for Shopify employees

Developing SATE programs that take into consideration, cultural differences within our global workforce

Balancing security awareness needs with impact on business and operations, in program development

Qualifications

Experience in creating easily consumed awareness/training products, from complex or technical information

Experience delivering adult learning programs

Experience building virtual/digital learning modules

3+ years of experience in developing and delivering security awareness and training programs

Experience in global security, travel safety programs, emergency management and/or security operations

Experience supporting global and regional teams and working in a virtual environment with current technologies and applications.

Demonstrated creativity and innovation in program development and delivery

Experience with program development including, measuring compliance, effectiveness, and outcomes.

It would be great if you also had:

Project Management experience

Technical acumen with G-Suite, Degreed and Bridge

Experience in teaching, education or instruction

ASIS Certification (APP, PSP, CPP)

Additional language, global work experience, travel and professional network development

Experience working remotely and with geographically distributed teams
