We’re looking for a Security Engineering Manager to lead the Platform Security team and collaborate closely with our engineering team to secure the Auth0 Identity Platform. Successful candidates will have a passion for building reliable and scalable distributed systems, a technical background, and hands-on experience building security controls for modern SaaS platforms and cloud infrastructure. In this role you will have the opportunity to champion a culture of continuous improvement, and significantly contribute to making the Auth0 Identity Platform secure by design.

This role can be based from a remote office anywhere in the US, CAN or Europe.

What You Will Do

• Lead and scale a team of security engineers responsible for securing Auth0’s platform and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering teams to ensure roadmap milestones are achieved securely, and continue to mature Auth0’s security controls.
• Ensure security controls are effectively implemented, help manage and remediate vulnerabilities, and promote security best practices.
• Contribute to defining the n+1 cloud infrastructure maturity level and help to achieve goals that get us there.
• Mentor and guide team members to reliably meet objectives, and help them achieve their career goals while lifting team performance.

What You Bring

• Natural leadership instincts with demonstrated ability to innovate and improve the security posture of complex SaaS products
• Exceptional technical experience in the infrastructure security domain, combined with an understanding of the challenges in delivering enterprise-scale software products
• Passion for building secure, reliable and scalable distributed systems in collaboration with business, executive and technical teams.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud security and preferably hands-on experience with Azure.
• Knowledge of containerization, CI/CD pipeline, and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively manage a remote, globally distributed team
• Proven ability to hire and mentor top technical talent at different experience levels, and to earn respect and trust from colleagues.
• A focus on using security metrics and risk management to guide our program and apply resources efficiently.
