Job description: Be a part of a rewarding career that ensures the safety of our healthcare workers, patients, and visitors in the Greater Vancouver Area! Paladin is looking for security officers who have open availability for rotational: Morning, Evening, and Overnight shifts.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Healthcare Security Officer, you respond to alarms, emergency requests, and use your excellent verbal de-escalation skills to resolve incidents. Your ability to take HUFT (Healthcare Use of Force) training provides you with the know-how to respond to critical scenarios. You always maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling private information, and you never forget to smile while providing your incredible customer service.

You promptly fill out detailed incident and ‘missing patient’ reports whenever an issue arises. This helps you discover solutions on how to keep staff, patients, and guests feeling comfortable in the secure environment you provide. Along with your dedication to utilizing PPE, you regularly patrol the facility so that no potential conflict leaves your sight.

The ideal candidate will:

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Be comfortable standing for long periods of time
• Possess OFA1/MOAB/HUFT (Occupational First Aid, Managing Aggressive Behaviour, Healthcare Use of Force) certifications (considered an asset, however training will be provided)
• Have eligibility to work in Canada
• Bring prior experience and a valid security license (considered assets)

All our Officers are required to carry a valid Security License. We also provide the Basic Security Training to those who have not been through the course previously.
