ABOUT YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Analyst/Advisor, Investment Finance (Temporary – 12 months), you’ll:
Review and document the MTM adjustments for all underlying investments included in the real estate portfolio and liaise with legal, front office and valuation team
Review the draft financial statements of Investments and provide comments to partners before the final sign off of the audited financial statements
Assist in the preparation of the quarterly schedule of investments (e.g revaluation of cost/fair market value of underlying investments)
Be involved in the audit process of underlying investments by preparing back up for various internal and external audit requests
Preparation of financial statements notes in accordance with IFRS
Ensure the quality of the investment’s referential data within the systems and perform data analysis from different sources: e.g legal documents, General Partner’s reporting, etc.
Prepare complete, accurate and timely information for accounting, reporting and management purposes, at month end, quarter end, year-end and on an ad-hoc basis
Assist in various other tasks specific to the team’s activities, including Ad Hoc requests
Assist in department initiatives and special projects, proactively seek ways of improving processes and coach more junior members.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting
Professional designation (CPA-CA, CPA-CGA or CPA-CMA) is required
Minimum five (5) years related working experience
Experience in financial services or private investment sector is an asset
Fluency in English (spoken and written), French considered a strong asset
Excellent knowledge of Excel and ability to quickly master computer systems
Good understanding of investment operations in the private or public markets, an asset
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Team player and ability to work in a high performance culture
Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and good time management
Adaptability and flexibility
High degree of professionalism and excellent oral and written communication skills
