As the Senior Certification Information Technology (IT) Analyst, you will collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document current IT processes and workflows, including the identification, testing, and reporting of key internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR). You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and ensuring timely completion of IT General Control (ITGC) testing and reporting to business leaders.
What you’re responsible for:
Developing and maintaining ITGC testing, performing walkthroughs of applications and databases to identify key Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFRs).
Evaluate controls in complex production environments at any subsidiary of in order to identify significant gaps in controls and present findings to management.
Assessing the IT ICFR polling responses from senior management and identifying the Certification impact, communicating reporting changes and reviewing the final Certification Report to ensure accuracy and quality.
Collaborating with external auditors to ensure that testing results meet their needs for reliance purposes in order to assist in minimizing external audit fees.
Leading quarterly Certification testing and training IT testers, ensuring test plans are appropriately completed and test results are accurately documented.

To join our team:
Minimum five years of audit or certification experience (experience in insurance industry is an asset) and a minimum of two years of specific IT audit/certification or related IT experience.
Strong knowledge of IT and audit methodologies, Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT) framework, and risk management techniques, including working knowledge of data analytics processes and tools, and existing and emerging technology and security trends.
Completion of or working towards the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or a related post-secondary IT program (i.e., Computer Science) is an asset.
Ability to assess risks associated with control weaknesses and effectively negotiate and persuade audit clients to support recommended changes.
Performance of data analytics processes and experience with data analytics tool.
