Position Purpose:

Join a fast-paced, creative, collegial and collaborative communication department. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Education, Awareness and Culture.

  • Developing and implementing communication plans that support strategic objectives
  • Implementing communication/marketing plans to strengthen brand profiles
  • Advising on marketing and communication best practices and brand building opportunities
  • Fostering relationships with internal and external contacts in the coordination of communication
  • Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
  • Designing surveys to support the evaluation of strategies and objectives
  • Generating reports
  • Delivering presentations to promote programs, opportunities and/or initiatives.
  • Producing promotional and outreach materials
  • Creating and producing graphic designs that reflect departmental and/or divisional objectives

Key Accountabilities:

  • Writing, proofreading and editing
  • Write and distribute communication collateral including monthly electronic newsletter
  • Social media development and analytics
  • Event planning, logistics and execution
  • Develop and implement rollout plans and communication plans
  • Consulting with clients

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Five (5) years of communication experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience in the public sector and/or higher education sector

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong writing and editing
  • Event planning and execution skills
  • Marketing and communication plan development and execution experience

Specialization and Skills: Digital Media and Innovation Communications Coordinator 5 – 7 years
