YOUR CONTRIBUTION
Upon your arrival, you will lead the Information technology team in ensuring the business has the technical capabilities to achieve its goals and support growth, participating in the organization’s strategic planning, ensuring the continuity of all IT services, and in developing new applications to enhance the Company’s technologies. You will report to the Chief Operating Officer. This is an opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team as you enrich your career and work on Enerkem’s unique and disruptive green technology.
Your role and responsibilities will be the following:
- Contribute to the development of the organization and support the achievement of its mission by defining and implementing the IT strategy in alignment with Enerkem’s short and long-term needs
- Strategically guide the technical vision for the organization
- Manage and build the IT investment roadmaps to enable the business vision and goals
- Working with strategic planning and project portfolio management to enhance projects oversight and improve delivery, productivity, and value across the group
- Directing technology solutions, business applications, operations support/help desk services, and maintenance of network infrastructure
- Participating in the definition of enterprise IT standards from an application and technology standpoint and promote improved service delivery, modernization, and transformation
- Oversee data and system security at the organization level, providing strategy for data warehousing, information management and contingency planning
- Build and maintain excellent relationships at all levels within the organization enabling a strong collaboration with Executives and Directors to ensure the planning and implementation of organizational changes and the sound management of IT needs
- Develop business relationships with key resources and maintain existing ones to promote and apply best practices in IT services and operations within the organization
- Recruit, mobilize, develop, mentor our various IT teams for personal growth and performance
- Act as a catalyst for continuous improvement in processes and tools, optimizing business IT processes and resolving implementation challenges
- Monitor IT efficiency and assess business requirements to manage upgrades to hardware and software solutions
- Direct the provision of third-party information technology service providers and ensure that contracts are respected
- Define, plan, and manage the IT services budget and forecasting
- Define, measure, and analyze IT services performance and support metrics
- Ensure product reliability, availability, accessibility, security, and integrity
- Develop new tools and applications to enhance Enerkem’s disruptive technologies and its commercial approach
Qualifications
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree or relevant training in information technology, computer science, solution architecture, or software development
- Graduate degree in Business Administration or certification Technology and Innovation Management, an asset
- 15+ years of relevant experience in Technology, including 5+ years in a management/senior leadership role
- Experience in managing resources (teams, budget, material) at the IT operations level
- Multiple examples of success in building and scaling the technology organization (across both application and infrastructure)
- Fluently bilingual (French and English), both written and spoken
- Experience working in high growth organizations
- Experience in an Engineering environment, a strong asset.
