Department Overview

The Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS) organization is comprised of several major units including: Infrastructure Delivery & Enablement, Cloud, Core Platforms, Employee Enablement, Networking & IAM, Enterprise Operations, and Site Reliability Engineering. The ITS finance team is responsible for providing financial support, analysis, reporting, guidance and strategic advice and decision support to ITS management as follows:

• Proactive financial leadership resulting in achievement of ITS business and financial objectives and budget
• Develop, manage and deliver an effective performance management framework to ITS management, focused on key (industry standard) cost drivers and metrics
• Deliver effective financial reporting of results and trends, including operational and strategic advice and recommendations
• Develop, implement and communicate effective processes for expense management

Job Requirements

• University degree (additional designation like CPA or MBA considered an asset)
• 5 to 7+ years professional financial or experience in medium to large organization that operates using best practices and performance management processes
• Experience using financial and related systems (ex. Hyperion Smartview, MS Office, OBI)
• Experience using automation & dashboarding tools (ex. PowerQuery / PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau) considered an asset

Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager, ITS, the position is accountable for the delivery of financial analysis, advice and support to the Network & Identity Access Management organization by driving business decisions, supporting operations and influencing business results. This role will support the VP of Network Services and their directs.

The Role’s Key Accountabilities Include:

• This role will be responsible to successfully navigate the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close financial reporting activities, as well as execution of forecasting and planning for assigned units within Network Services.
• Provide proactive quality financial analysis, insightful commentary and recommendations that allow the Business Leadership team to make informed business decisions
• Provide overall financial results reporting for the Network Services executives in the Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR’s), including a comprehensive discussion on key cost categories, drivers, risks/opportunities, trends, FTEs.
• Partner with the Network management teams to assist and develop annual plan based on key business drivers
• Provide recommendations on trends and opportunities to reduce costs
• Participate in special projects as assigned to provide financial advice and leadership to business / finance partners. Project work includes financial process improvement initiatives with the goal of:

• Decreasing cycle times and improving management level reporting,
• Leveraging and supporting roll-out of new tools to minimize use of excel based processes, and
• Improving control measures to ensure financial data integrity
• Transforming and maturing technology financial processes and management
