This is a new exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance. In this role you will be responsible for working with various areas of the business and providing ad-hoc analysis and reporting, managing dashboards and databases, supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes, as well as assisting in M&A activities.

Job Description
- Manage dashboards, databases, and reports to support the monitoring and segmentation of the business, (store network, omni-channel business, etc…)
- Collaborate with business partners to create capital expenditure business cases and ensure alignment with the annual budget, corporate strategy, and project return thresholds (NPV, IRR, and payback)
- Analyze large amounts of data and make strategic recommendations to management based on the results identified through completed analysis
- Translate business issues into analytical requirements; prepare concise insights and findings to finance and business leadership teams
- Support in the annual budget process and provide ad-hoc analysis as required by the business
- Support in the creation and maintenance of monthly reporting activities such as the creation of monthly management/board presentation decks and tracking of KPIs via reports and dashboards
- Identify areas to improve efficiency through automation, simplification, and prioritization.
- Support in Merger & Acquisition activities as well as post-M&A integration when needed (ie., filtering, due diligence, valuation, and presentations of analysis/recommendations to senior management of any businesses or potential targets)
- Please note this is a Hybrid Position (2 days working in our Brampton office)
Qualifications
- BA in Business, Finance and/or Accounting
- CPA / CFA designations or a post-graduate degree is considered an asset
- 4+ years of work experience in a finance-related field such as corporate finance, transaction advisory, FP&A, consulting, or investment banking is required
- Knowledge of retail industry is a definite asset
- Must have excellent interpersonal, organization, time management and multi-tasking skills, and work well under pressure and deadlines
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas and recommendations while considering viewpoint of all stakeholders
- Strong analytical and inquiry skills to understand operational processes and constraints
- Must have strong knowledge of budgeting analysis and understanding of business cases, with the ability to review the model and communicate with relevant stakeholders
- Advanced skills in financial modeling, data management and BI tools (ie., Tableau, Qlik, Smartview)
- Proficient in MS Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint)
