The Senior Manager, Human Resources is a key member of the Human Resources team and will support Ticketmaster’s business as it relates to people management, offering guidance and counsel on staff planning, organizational effectiveness, performance issues, people development, succession planning, performance management, and overall HR support.

This position reports into the VP, Human Resources, Canada. On a typical day (although most days are not typical!) the Senior Manager, Human Resources may will be the first point of contact for HR-related requests and will help oversee the execution company-wide HR programs.

We are looking for a motivated Human Resources professional who has a demonstrated ability to advance the success of HR. The role requires a roll-up-you-sleeves attitude and the ability supporting approximately 700 employees across Canada, coaching managers on organizational and people-related issues, and contributing strategically to the business. Additionally, the Senior Manager, Human Resources will support business leaders on HR matters, solutions and implications, while working with the larger HR team on initiatives aimed at enabling the growth and development of our business.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Support the Vice President, Human Resources in planning, developing and implementing HR programs, including those in partnership with Global Ticketmaster and Leading Internet / New Media Company Entertainment.
Work closely with Ticketmaster’s Management and leadership team on all things people related.
Develop and implement HR policies, plans and practices to support business objectives and fosters a dynamic workplace that welcomes diversity, equity and inclusion.
Play an active role in developing and executing employee engagement and recognition programs.
Provide coaching for talent management programs such as; annual employee performance review and related goal setting processes, and annual talent review program.
Manage employee survey rollouts and action planning in partnership with the Vice President, Human Resources and business leads, providing insightful feedback and suggestions on outcomes and overall employee engagement.
Manage full-cycle recruitment for all levels.
Work closely with the hiring managers to forecast people needs, establish staffing priorities, and manage retention efforts.
Support Diversity and Inclusion programs that involve and engage our employees and champion the initiatives put forth by LNE.
Facilitate training sessions, aligning with Global and local learning initiatives.
Assist managers in identifying talent, diagnosing learning needs and planning appropriate developmental opportunities.
Oversee a smooth on-boarding and off-boarding process in partnership with the HRBP and offers insights and trends regarding employee exits.
Assist with facilitating compensation programs (merit, bonus, promotion, etc.), providing knowledge of compensation best practices and processes.
Assist with leading the annual performance management program. Advise managers on the establishment of employee goals and counsel management on proper ways to evaluate and communicate job performance to employees.
Oversee compensation and benefit administration (including payroll, LOA’s, Leading Internet / New Media Company’s “We Take Care of Our Own” program, EAP, etc.), advancing HRIS (Workday) and ensuring accurate reporting.
Counsel management in preparation for employee terminations and participates in termination meetings as appropriate.
Stays current with changes in employment law and emerging trends. Ensure compliance with any legal or regulatory changes pertaining to labor, wage and hour, and employment laws, including manager communication/training not limited to Employment Standards, health and Safety, Human Rights, AODA etc.
Assist with facilitating union negotiations (limited to TM call centre) and managing a unionized environment.
Help to build a high functioning HR team including coach and mentoring the HRBP.
Participate in the planning and executing social/team events/outings.
Other duties and projects as developed through HR objectives and business needs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

7 years progressive HR experience, preferably with three years at a senior/managerial level.
Bilingual (French/English) both oral and written, with strong communication skills in the areas of relationship building/management, and influence.
Bachelor or Masters degree in HR (or related field). CHRP certification an asset.
Experience with a unionized environment, including collective bargaining.
Strong writer with the ability to craft compelling employee communications.
Solid understanding of Canadian HR practices and legislative requirements.
Tech-savvy and adaptable; comfortable with HRIS (Workday, reporting, etc.), MS Office, etc.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; able to manage and pivot on competing priorities while consistently delivering quality results under tight deadlines.
Ability to travel within Canada and the US as business needs require.
