Purpose
Contribute to the overall success of the Global Wealth Compliance Department, and the Wealth Distribution (WD) Compliance team, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies, initiatives and objectives.
The Senior Manager reports to the Vice President, Compliance and works closely with the WD Compliance team, as well as a diverse set of stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives and to support the Compliance program.
Accountabilities
- Assist the WD Compliance team to deliver strategic initiatives impacting the WD Compliance programs, including participating in developing, maintaining or implementing improvements to policies, procedures and processes.
- Support the execution of various components of the eight pillars of the WD Compliance program, including:
- Review Global Compliance Standards and Operating Procedures to determine and assess impact on the WD Compliance team
- Develop and maintain internal documents including procedures in support of the WD Compliance program
- Coordinate the business unit Compliance Risk and Control Assessment (“CRCA”) process to ensure consistency in the assessment across all WD Compliance business units
- Responsible for completing the CRCA for the WD Compliance team
- Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators for the WD Compliance monitoring program, including the processes to obtain the required data for such metrics
- Prepare the annual and multi-year WD Compliance test plans based on risk assessment results, regulatory & management priorities
- Provide engagement planning and ongoing test execution support to the WD Compliance testing team, including reviewing final testing reports and supporting the testing issue closure process
- Responsible for ensuring that regulatory Compliance events and issues are accurately logged, tracked and followed up on in a timely manner for Compliance and Regulatory reporting purposes
- Responsible for the iRCM regulatory and control library build, maintenance and enhancement activities for WD Compliance
- Responsible for WD Compliance management of applicable regulatory change procedures
- Work closely with the Vice President, Compliance on enterprise initiatives including implementing and maintaining enterprise programs, frameworks, policies and controls related to regulatory compliance management, regulatory change management, monitoring and testing, risk assessment, reporting, and business continuity planning for the WD Compliance program.
- Revamp and own ongoing and ad hoc reporting provided by WD Compliance to stakeholders including the Board of Directors and the Senior Management Teams.
- Manage, coordinate and respond or facilitate as appropriate to both internal audits and regulator reviews and inquiries.
- Assist with ad hoc requests/provide support as needed in respect of other aspects of the WD Compliance Program, including delivering strategic change initiatives impacting the WD Compliance oversight program.
- Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Provide knowledgeable and practical direction, advice and support to the WD Compliance team in a timely and client service focused manner. * Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including Global Compliance, Corporate Functions, regulators and Wealth Distribution business leaders to support the achievement of initiatives and overall objectives.
- Maintain a high level of awareness of compliance related industry developments.
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Participate in projects and other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience / Other Information
- 5 – 10 years of Compliance related experience in the financial services industry;
- Able to effectively work with and influence business and other control functions personnel in the businesses to implement compliance-risk management initiatives;
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing;
- Strong analytical skills and results oriented approach to decision making;
- Ability to drive success in a high performing, flexible and medium team environment;
