We are seeking an analytical, yet creative SEO Analyst to join our marketing team. As a SEO Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on KPIs and helping to design SEO experiments and test new strategies.

We are open to applicants working remotely in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report on KPIs, share with the SEO and adjacent teams and quickly respond to divergences.
  • Help design SEO experiments and test new strategies and opportunities for growth.
  • Analyze SEO test results and execute the next steps at a fast pace.
  • Analyze keywords, traffic, user and business trends to gain insight and take action.
  • Increase the visit-to-lead and lead-to-sale rates of our web properties through A/B testing
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Filter and “polish” data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct coding problems.
  • Help locate and define missed opportunities.

The Successful Candidate For This Role Will Be

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience (preferred in quantitative fields such as economics, mathematics, statistics, or computer science/engineering).
  • Demonstrable track record of success at driving significant results & business growth
  • 3+ years of web analytics experience with enterprise level websites (i.e. hundreds of thousands or millions of pages).
  • Advanced excel/google sheet skills and SQL is required.
  • Superior analytical, problem-structuring, and problem-solving skills; experience synthesizing data into information, and presenting concise analyses.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Data Studio, Tableau, strongly desired.
  • Experience and knowledge of statistics and statistical packages for analyzing datasets using R and/or Python.
  • Functional knowledge of JavaScript, CSS and HTML is strongly desired
  • Ability to analyze optimization needs of webpages is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks) is desired.
  • Knowledge of SEO tools and data sets, and an understanding of search engine workings are a plus.
