Software Engineering Intern
Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division, is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our high-tech engineering and manufacturing company for the period of May 1 2023 to April 31 2024. To support our focus on delivering high quality products, we are looking for an enthusiastic internship student to add to our Platform team. This role will focus on design, development and testing of embedded platform enabling our GNSS receivers within our NovAtel product line. This role offers you the chance to work hands-on with our platform technologies within one or more teams. By working with world-leading experts you will gain a theoretical understanding of GNSS/INS and its practical application. Over the course of the internship you will work on multiple projects at different phases of the product lifecycle.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based onsite in Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities
As a Software Engineering Intern responsibilities include:
- Analyze performance and functional data using statistical and graphical analysis
- Perform “exploratory testing” and create documentation to create system knowledge and enhance product robustness
- Development of offline unit and component tests to facilitate repeatable automated tests
- Assist in and work on projects to analyze and automatically monitor system performance over development cycles
- Investigate reported field issues, and potentially perform customer service duties
- Investigation of problems and potentially resolve system defects
- Assist in improving and expanding exiting regression testing capabilities
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Registered in the Engineering Internship/Co-op program and have completed at least your 2nd or 3rd year of studies by the start of your work term
- Electrical, Computer, Software, or Geomatics Engineering, or Computer Science student
- Available for a minimum 12 month work term
- Strong academic credentials
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written

Nice-to-Have:
