You will act as a primary point of contact and advocate for the client for the delivered solutions and related technologies. You will take overall responsibility for technology planning and lead longer-term technology planning for solution and services delivery by identifying technology initiatives that improve performance, cost or quality of services. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with technology updates, version currency and technology refresh requirements. You will participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and ensure business and operations support needs on an ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an expert understanding of the solution architecture, its components and interaction with external technologies and solution;
  • Take responsibility of architecting/re-architecting new solution development efforts based on new business requirements and requirements to optimize the solution;
  • Interact with other solution, middleware and infrastructure architects to understand, evaluate impact and provide oversight on integration and technology changes;
  • Participate in discussions with other enterprise architect to understand big picture changes and propose enhancements to be considered for the solution roadmap;
  • Review, develop and maintain all solution architectural documents and technical artifacts as required;
  • Review, validate and provide oversight on maintaining all technical design documents that support current and new solution development;
  • Act as a point of escalation for technical issues and provide guidance on technical issue resolution efforts;
  • Take ownership of problems tickets and work with development team to reproduce defects;
  • Work with infrastructure and middleware teams to troubleshoot middleware technology issues;

Qualifications

  • University Degree/College Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology disciplines or equivalent experience;
  • Excellent knowledge of architectural design patterns;
  • At least seven years of experience in a lead architect or lead technology manager role;
  • Deep understanding of relational database structures, Web Services and SOA;
  • Experience with implementing integrations to both on-premise and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience delivering complex leading-edge solutions with the ability to dive in and out of the details when needed;
  • Experience with Agile project methodology and tools such as Confluence and Jira;
  • Experience in managing technology and initiative planning in a multi-supplier environment;
  • Experience in planning and managing technology for clients with enterprise-level delivery footprint;
  • Experience with development tools, CICD and code automation technologies;
  • Experience with both batch & real-time integration technologies such as MFT, ETL, MQ, API Gateway etc.;
  • Experience with a variety of relevant technologies, including RESTFUL APIs (XML, JSON), SOAP APIs, and Microservices;
  • In-depth understanding of industry standard of building secure and scalable solutions to support internet facing APIs;
  • Experience with Federated Identity & SSO solution technologies is a plus
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to ”own” the issue and solution and follow it through
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Positive attitude that fosters productivity in a team setting
