What will your typical day look like?

Accountable for the business analysis activities, quality of the solution, consistency of BA/QA work products and performance metrics within a studio as part of the strategic initiative. Performs the duties of the Solutions team SAFe Agile champion, including reporting and backlog health assessments. Responsible for and ensures that the work products adhere to the practices and standards set by leadership. Collaborates with the portfolio and stakeholder teams to translate business objectives into epics, features and elaborated stories and confirms, with the support of development teams, that the technology can be developed to meet business needs. Provides business and data analysis support to customer implementation and solution development projects. Runs Scrums as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads and delivers end-to-end projects and operational enhancements/maintenance aligned to Program Increments
  • Understands business strategy and objectives by studying the business function, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements; Elicits and documents functional epics, features, and stories for technical solutions to business issues. Assists in the articulation and capture of business value/impact
  • In partnership with Lead BSAs, manages BA and QA activities within the studio and ensures the traceability of elaborated features/stories from intake through to testing is established and reported
  • Collaborates with application developers, designers, and architects to ensure a shared understanding of the business model and the detailed function requirement
  • Oversees the estimation of feature/story elaboration and testing efforts for various projects, initiatives and operational cycles aligned to a Program Increment
  • Manages the progress of projects by tracking activity, resolving issues, and recommending actions through SAFe Agile methodology; Provides senior management and project management with regular updates on iteration/sprint progress and status
  • Manages the Product Backlog for all Global People Technology products, working with the Portfolio team, STE, RTE and Product Owners/Managers to prioritize requirements, define and manage PI planning
  • Works with Release Train Engineer, pod team and end users to plan testing activities as appropriate
  • Leads/Participates in PI planning and preparation activities
  • Responds proactively to both business and project issues and escalates appropriate
  • Runs scrums and removes impediments and blocker
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

About the team

You are someone with:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent education; 5 to 10 years of related Business Analysis experience. For some positions, may require 10+ years of related experience.
  • Experience in executing enterprise technology initiatives following the SAFe agile methodology
  • Understanding of agile and scrum project delivery
  • Experience leveraging Azure DevOps or JIRA to manage product backlogs
  • Ability to coach delivery and business teams in transitioning from waterfall to SAFe agile
  • Proven ability to manage multiple agile release trains and coordinate cross-product dependencies
  • Strong executive communication, technical and remote collaboration skills are a must
  • Excellent organization, analytical, planning and leadership skills
  • Experience in dealing with multiple projects and cross-functional teams and ability to coordinate across teams in a large matrix organization environment
  • Excellent team collaboration skills
  • Strong relationship building and maintaining skills. Fosters a climate conducive to establishing positive working relationships with clients
  • HR Technology background preferred
  • SAFe Agile Certified
