Our client is a financial services company. They are looking for a Senior Manager, Finance Business Partnering (FP&A) who will work closely with a highly professional and strategically focused business partnering team reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Planning, Performance and Business Partnering. They will be supporting FP&A in cross-functional knowledge integration from various enabling areas. They will Work with the end state in mind, conceptual in approach and can assist in managing the full spectrum of strategic/financial activities.

About the Opportunity

• Driving Business performance by Ensuring all business decisions are being supported by high quality financial analysis with the vital data resources, analytical tools, structured frameworks and standard methodologies
• Quality business planning ensuring business activities are being crafted that culminate in financial plans and performance targets being set and achieved across our business segments
• Relationship management and Aligns FP&A with other adjacent functions such as Capital, Actuarial, Pricing, and Claims and coordinates cross-functional results as they relate to both Corporate Planning and the broader FP&A team
• Consults in a finance business partner capacity to our Broker Distribution business segment leads
• Responsible for growing the relationships with the business as a partner, provides superior client experience and strengthens the relationships across boundaries
• Actively participates in strategy formulation within various business segments
• Ensures accurate financial assumptions in business unit strategic planning processes are consistently made
• Participates effectively with Managing Director and Financial counterparts in the development of business planning models that reflect key drivers of value and driven environment
• Brings a digital first and customer centric approach
• Understands key financial and operational drivers of performance and helps to integrate them consistently in business management reporting processes
• Supports the development/refinement of appropriate efficiency metrics, dashboards and financial/nonfinancial KPIs to enable effective performance management
• Is able to bring to light financial challenges and raise discussions within exec team suggestions course corrections where necessary
• Establishes and implements a framework to drive expense management discipline and focus within the business – identifying and reducing non-value-added costs in the BD operation
• Understands the long-term cost structure of our business and takes an active role in the cost management process
• Coordinates the deployment of financial controls across the business that are effective at preventing undesirable risks
• Aligns finance processes and priorities with those of the business and are flexible at adapting finance processes to meet business’s changing needs

About You

• CA/CPA, CMA, CGA or equivalent
• A degree in Business (Finance, Economics, Accounting & Finance) or equivalent, and an MBA would be preferable
• 7+ years post qualification financial management experience (3-5 years of which preferably in a financial services organization)
• Experience with contract negotiation and management, business modeling, acquisitions and integration

Salary

$120,000 to $135,000/year
