Our client, a manufacturing company that designs and builds machinery for heavy industrial applications is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. If you are a creative person who loves to develop maintenance friendly designs, this is a great fit for you!

Responsibilities:

– Prepare highly detailed design calculations, concepts and sketches

– Co-ordinate with other engineering disciplines

– Complete stress and weld calculations, elemental analysis

– Develop proposals including preliminary designs and feasibility studies

– Further develop concepts through to final design, including drawings, assemblies, bills of material

– Troubleshoot field problems and provide reports

– Support large installation projects

– Offer technical guidance to coworkers

– Provide a superior level of customer service to client base

Requirements:
– B.SC or B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering

– P.Eng preferred, not mandatory

– 5-10 years experience in industrial design

– Experience in heavy industry is an asset
– 3D CAD software experience, preferably SolidWorks

– AutoCAD, MathCAD, FEA Analysis and Microsoft Suite literacy

– Ability to work independently as well as within a team

– Must have valid Canadian passport with no travel restrictions
