Sr. Technology Consultant
Job location: This is a remote position. You can work from home and be located anywhere in Canada.
About the team
As a member of the Strategic Services team, you understand our customers’ most pressing business performance challenges and you are committed to helping our customers solve complex challenges. Working with new and existing customers, you will provide expert guidance in integrating our product offerings to deliver value.
What you will do
- Lead deep-dive customer architecture and data discovery sessions and develop integration requirements specifications including architecture diagrams
- Learn the Rapid Response integration platform
- Deploy new ML products and platforms in RapidResponse to help customers achieve immediate value from their investment
- Perform data integration and ETL configurations – mapping, loading, transforming and validating data required to support our customer’s unique system landscape
- Support data management and integration related activities including validation and testing of the solution
- Provide creative technology solutions to complex business problems while maintaining best practices
- Maintain critical information accurate (ERD, architecture diagrams and components) and provide guidance on data and architecture best practices and governance
- Guide and mentor Technology Consultants
What we are looking for
- 8 plus years of relevant experience in data engineering and professional services or consulting
- Experience with ETL tools such as Talend, OWB, SSIS, SAP Data Services etc.
- Database level experience extracting data from enterprise class ERP systems including SAP/APO, Oracle, and JDE.
- Experience with connection functionality to SAP (through BAPI / RFC), databases, files, web, SOAP.
- Experience working with relational databases and java script.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle, including business requirements definition, review of functional specifications, development of test plans, testing, user training, and deployment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, time management and customer relationship skills.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent understanding of data and hands on experience pre-processing and transforming big data datasets
- Technical skills such as SQL, R, Java Script, Python. SQL and Python a must
- Familiarity with different file formats such as json, yaml
- Familiarity with Cloud environments and systems
- Familiarity with Machine Learning and Data Science a plus
- Ability to work virtual and plan for up to 70% travel
