Superintendent of Education West

Northern Lights School Division #113 requires a qualified Superintendent of Education. Reporting to the Director of Education, they will be a member of the school divisions administrative leadership team of Superintendents and Principals. The assignment includes La Loche, Bear Creek, Pinehouse Lake and
Green Lake. This position will be based out of the Beauval Sub-Office.

The successful candidate will possess:

demonstrated ability to provide leadership in the area of program and evaluation, personnel supervision and curriculum support to assigned schools;
demonstrate effective planning, management and oversight of the administration;
the ability to manage and complete multiple tasks within assigned deadlines;
in-depth knowledge about educational statutes, division policies and administrative procedures;
a minimum of a Masters of Education to be eligible for this position;
several years experience of successful instructional leadership;
maintain a positive and productive working relationship with the community;
eligibility for LEADS membership;
a commitment to respecting First Nations and Metis territory, history, ways of knowing, culture and language, truth and reconciliation and to understanding the unique strengths and challenges our students bring to the school division.
ability to travel extensively across the school division in fulfilling duties.
