In this role, you will work to effectively support overall safe and consistent operations projects delivery-to-plan for assigned portfolio of work, through effective coordination of screening, planning, design & procurement stage results and close-out, and implementation of forecasting and project controls requirements.

What You Will Do

Ensure utility designs and drawings follow internal company and external regulatory and municipal requirements with respect to Company Engineering design standards.

Effectively support and supervise construction phases of projects, as defined by business, operational and project needs.

Manage the day-to-day activities of the Operations Construction Project Management group within the region, with a large team of varying expertise levels.

Support, develop, coach, mentor and empower all team members, ensuring organizational effectiveness and integration with partners. Ensure overall group results are aligned with operational / asset plan objectives.

Maintain positive relationships with key regional external agencies, including consultants, builders, utilities, and municipalities. Represent EGI-GDS on Municipal Public Utilities Coordinating Committees ensuring that appropriate influence is exercised on relevant municipal issues.

Ensure cross-functional teamwork between operations construction project management and the various functional and regional groups within the Enbridge network.

Responsible for emergency response support for distribution system planning escalations. Ensure staff is trained to meet the needs of Operations personnel for planning support in an emergency.

Who You Are

You will have the following education and experience:

Related university degree and a minimum of 7 years’ experience OR 9+ years of previous field operations experience. An equivalent mix of formal education and experience may be considered.

Strong leadership skills in interpersonal relationships and technical matters.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, project management, analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.

In depth knowledge of processes and procedures for departments interacting with operations construction project management.

Detailed understanding of applicable codes, standards for natural gas distribution and related facilities design and operation; both industry standards and company policies and procedures.

Previous supervisory or management experience is desired.

Experience in EGI Project Planning and familiarity with WAMS, Maximo, IDF, C55 is an asset.

Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

This role is comprised of both office (80%) and field work (20%).
