Infosys is seeking a Java Developer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Vancouver, Ontario or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
• Canadian citizens and those authorized to work in the Canada are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time.

Preferred Qualification :

• Develop and maintain applications based of Java/J2EE/Spring/JPA based frameworks, following industry’s best coding standards
• Hands-on with SQL scripting
• Understand the business needs and provide IT solutions. Independently be able to come up different solutions, weigh pro’s and con’s and be able to recommend the best fit solution (substantiate with data). Provide estimates of the same.
• Break down the IT solution in coding components that can be developed, and integrated to meeting the business objectives
• Ability to communicate above to other team members, co-ordinate and collaborate to success
• Ability to mentor and lead a team
• Perform code review to ensure the code meet coding standards
• Ensure automated tests (junits, qunits, component tests, E2E tests) are in place for all code developed
• Ability to identify and build a case for improvement opportunities in system, articulate the same to make it an opportunity
• Ability to understand the SDLC model operated in the project, align and work towards success of the project
• Constantly look for open opportunities in the project, fill-in to take up additional responsibilities and hence a way to grow higher.
