Infosys is seeking a Senior Spark and Big Data Developer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Vancouver, British Columbia or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of Information Technology experience.
• Canadian citizens and those authorized to work in the Canada are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least years of experience working with Data Engineering projects on Azure and Cloud platforms.
• Play a technical lead role to design and implement Data ingestion, transformation pipelines.
• Design and develop real time and batch Spark based data pipelines
• Design and develop Data products in published zone for analytics and business consumption.
• Play a lead role for production datasets, data products, ensure data availability as per SLAs
• Interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Design
• Enhance and maintain production data products and datasets.
• Have good understanding of distributed file system and cloud computing services
• Identify and solve business challenges utilizing large variety of data in a distributed processing environment using data mining techniques to deliver visualizations and insights into data
• Strong knowledge on Azure Databricks, Data Factory.
• Exposure to retail domain is a nice to have.
• Play an important role in creating the Architecture and high level design artefacts.
• Delivering high quality code deliverable and lead the design and delivery
• Work with TPMs, product owners, scrum master to groom product backlog and user stories
• Co-ordinate with offshore in a Global delivery model, unblock issues, raise dependencies and tracking to closure.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
