The has partnered with our client, a family-owned company, founded over 90 years ago, with operations throughout Eastern Canada, northeast US and Ireland. They operate bulk furnace oil and propane outlets across Atlantic Canada, New England and Quebec as well as select locations in eastern Ontario, almost all of which is supplied from their refinery in NB. What you’ll be doing
As the new Technology Communication Partner, you will be responsible for the development and management of technology communications. This involves providing internal and external communication guidance, developing, and executing on communication strategies, developing high quality content for a variety of channels, and other deliverables in support of the strategic objectives of the IT department and stakeholders from various business lines.
Practically speaking you will:
- Create technology and business facing communications using up to date communication solutions that meet the needs of the business.
- Develop, review, and edit presentations to a predefined company standard.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from various business lines to develop and execute communication strategies and approaches for the full range of projects and initiatives.
- Ensure end user experience and communications are tested as required.
- Meet with clients and key stakeholders to discuss and identify their communications requirements and then develop and execute on a plan that is best suited for adoption.
- Have strong knowledge of communication trends and strategy for message delivery and communication processes.
- Leverage use of appropriate technology (SharePoint, email, Excel, etc.) to prepare and distribute communications.
- Support Technology Stewardship reporting through content development, facilitation, and quality control.
- Support Business Change Readiness activities related to Technology transformation projects
- Build metrics to measure the impact of technology communications, present the results and make recommendations on how to improve our focus on seamless and accessible digital communications solutions.
- Lead the execution of detailed Technology communication plans that result in a consistent experience for all involved, ensuring effective and integrated approaches.
- Support additional analysis as it relates to, including but not limited to, business planning, portfolio management, benefits realization, etc.
- Provide some afterhours support.

This is a full-time permanent position based in Saint John, New Brunswick. If relocation is required, assistance can be provided. Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in business and/or communications, public relations, or relevant field (while additional formal education in IT and/or web development is nice to have).
- 3-5 years of experience in communications (e.g., writing captivating content, digital documentation, technical writing/editing).
- Some experience in digital communications, graphic design/visual communications is desirable.
- Ability to translate technical information to business language.
- Capacity to learn new tools, adapt, embrace and lead change.
- Experience in IT is an asset.
- Excellent presentation development skills.
- Proven ability to maintain good working relationships with stakeholders including senior leaders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; exhibit exceptional grammar and editing skills.
- Capacity to work independently and effectively on multiple projects with limited supervision
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience dealing with multiple priorities and deadlines / proven ability to meet hard deadlines.
- Ability to work afterhours if needed.
