Job title: Technology Enablement Delivery Manager

Job description: The Technology Enablement Delivery Manager, a member of IT Operations for Cox Automotive Canada, and its team members are responsible for Shared Services project planning and communication.

The Technology Enablement Delivery Manager is expected to manage multiple projects concurrently, enabling projects to deliver on schedule & budget as well as dealing with day-to-day incident management, strategic and tactical activities.

The Enablement Delivery Manager will work closely with the various groups:, DB, Info-Sec, Applications Support, DevOps, Network, Change & Release Management and engineering scrum teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the big picture of CAC’s Shared Services business, including network, security, DB and Operations
  • Coordinate multi-group shared services tasks, often representing several projects and quarterly plans.
  • Secure the resource allocation quarterly, escalate if/when capacity falls short of requirement.
  • Fill in the gaps in engaging our business and legal partners to support Share Services’ needs.
  • Mitigate risks associated with a non-coordinated approach to shared services operations.
  • Interface with all shared services team leads and scrum teams, translating each need in a language well understood by folks with different technical roles.
  • Expose / create visibility for executives as to the progress and risks of various initiatives.
  • Break silos among shared services groups and with scrum teams.
  • Guide shared services activities to contain cost, scope and manage plans.
  • Participate in budget planning activities.
  • Influence and become key force behind Incident Management continuous improvement plans (gathering data, creating live dashboard, analyze results, recommendation based on data)
  • +/- 60% Shared services coordination of activities
  • +/- 40% Incident management program activities (continuous improvement). Renewed focus on incident management (RCA, continuous improvement, dashboards, reporting, influencing, e.g. operation excellence).
  • Build, leverage, and maintain relationships within and across workgroups.
  • Actively engage and support change and innovation by communicating the future state, trying new approaches and collaborating with others to make the change successful.
  • Plan and support the development of knowledge, skills and abilities to fulfill current and future job responsibilities more effectively.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Project management experience required
  • Comfortable with budget alignment, OPEX, CAPEX, EBITDA
  • Strong knowledge of web-based applications, common Internet protocols, common security concerns, common operations systems and IT conventions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Proficiency with Rally
  • Understanding of Agile methodology
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but 5 or more years of relevant work experience is an acceptable substitute
  • Strong time management skills and above average ability to multi-task proactively and respond to inquiries as they arise.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate articulately both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong ability to project positive customer service experience, including managing expectations (of shared services team members, business partners and external customers).
  • Strong ability to prioritize needs of self, others and organization.
  • Project Management certification
