Job Description

Without limitation, activities to be performed typically in your assignments:

• Understand the mission of the business line.
• Understand the functional needs of the system to be developed, its general architecture of processing and data, the organization of work, its prospects for evolution, volumes, and anticipated constraints.
• Analyze and compare the possible solutions to meet the stated needs, considering the technological architecture in place, the additions that would be advantageous to make, the risks and the new costs involved. Propose a solution for approval.
• Validate costs and feasibility according to the process established by the client’s architecture department.
• Complete cost and capacity charts.
• Organize and chair synergy, consultation, and validation workshops with the required stakeholders.
• Consolidate the information gathered during the various meetings, in relation to the understanding of the client’s expectations.
• Present the business case to the approval authorities according to the validation and approval process in effect.
• Determine the subsequent actions that will be necessary to carry out following the selection. This may include further investigation of recommended new technologies, preparation for infrastructure component upgrades or software upgrades.
• Oversee, define, or perform laboratory proofs of concept.
• Interact with hardware and software manufacturers or distributors to obtain information on products under consideration and support during the conduct of proofs of concept.
• Document the selected solution and integrate it into standard documentation.
• Document, create or update the general or specific technology architecture.
• Communicate to the client’s design project manager any items that may impact the achievement of content, cost, or schedule objectives so that appropriate action can be taken.
• Produce the following deliverables: design brief; technology advisory; proof of concept and executive summary to management.

Requirements and qualifications

• University degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• 4 or more years of experience in information technology including.
• 3 years as a technology architecture specialist.
• 2 years of experience within the last five years as a technology integrator for information technology projects
