Job description: The Technology Lead will perform their role in two phases: first, the completion of certain key platform components required for a specific business to operate on the Current Portfolio Company platform, and second, the development of the New Portfolio Company using the capacities and functionalities built on the platform of the Current Portfolio Company. Success in building the key platform components required for this separate business will result in the Technology Lead becoming a Co-Founder and Technology Lead (with a future title to be determined as appropriate) for the New Portfolio Company.

Agentis has co-founded, invested in, raised funds for, and provided leadership to a number of transformational startups, and is rapidly expanding its portfolio, both through managed funds and seed investments.

• Architect and participate in the implementation and maintenance of core products and related DevOps processes
• Determine appropriate technology for each project and proactively introduce new technologies and procedures to the development team as they become available
• Lead mentoring and professional training of the New Portfolio Company development team
• Participate in product planning, project management, and overall company development for the New Portfolio Company
• Achieve the New Portfolio Company minimum viable product
• Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors

Desired Skills or Experience
Front-end Experience

• Hands-on experience with reactive JavaScript framework (Vue.js preferred) and associated ecosystems
• Front-end app/library architecture experience, including planning, QA, project management
• Front-end app/web/PWA/WebAssembly build and process tooling experience (unit testing, visual testing, pre-processors, js module bundlers/builders, event and performance monitoring)

Back-end/service Experience

• Extensive API architecture and implementation knowledge thru PHP/Node ecosystems
• Application containerization experience at scale (tooling, monitoring, etc.)

DevOps Experience

• Good working Linux OS server experience
• Experience or familiarity with IaC concepts and Terraform/Ansible and/or similar
• In-depth experience with at least one of the large cloud providers (preferably AWS)
• Practical experience with continuous integration and delivery tools and services (CircleCI preferred)

Team/Project Lead Experience

• Small to intermediate team-lead experience, including successful mentoring and low-level HR issue resolution
• The ability to meaningfully lead/contribute to ongoing project management tasks from a team-member availability/knowledge standpoint
• The ability to lead/meaningfully contribute product/feature development research and planning

Nice to Have Skills or Experience

• Substantial experience with Rust/Node.js and/or Python programming languages and ecosystems
• In-depth knowledge of Linux systems (specifically Debian/Ubuntu/Alpine)
• Solid understanding of building scalable, high performing systems and services
• Expertise with big data, analytics, machine learning, and data personalization
