Infosys is seeking a Senior Bigdata, Spark Developer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Canadian citizens and those authorized to work in the Canada are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in Development projects and 4 years of experience in Hadoop development in general.
• At least 2 Years of hands on experience in Spark development in Java Or Scala
• Strong understanding of Core Java development environment and hands-on experience.
• Has strong knowledge of Spark Architecture and insight into code behavior when high volume data is involved.
• Strong knowledge of Hadoop (Cloudera distribution preferably) and related technologies such as HDFS, Hive, MapReduce, HBase, Pig , Spark, etc
• Have hands-on experience in the design, development and/or support of solutions based on the Hadoop platform
• Design, plan and execute on-site PoC projects using Hadoop. Deploy Hadoop platform into the customer’s technology environment.
• Extensive experience in end-to-end implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) projects, especially in data warehouse and mart developments
• Experience on developing / architecting Hadoop based BI Solutions for supporting financial, sales, and marketing performance reporting
• Design, build and test analytic solutions that leverage the full capabilities of the Hadoop technology stack to meet customer requirements, using: Hive; Pig, Hcatalog , and the MapReduce parallel programming framework
• Must possess strong knowledge of SQL and databases
• Must possess good concepts in Business Intelligence and Data warehousing
• Experience in sourcing data from disparate systems with a good understanding of their Data Models and ETL procedures
• Well versed with deployment methodologies
• Must have good analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Experience in Banking domain
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
