Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Hinton Training Centre (HTC), the Finance and Administration Unit Lead is a critical component in the Centre’s ability to deliver programs and services through supporting procurements, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and project management.
The Unit Leads must be able to coach and motivate others, organize, problem solve and communicate effectively. This position requires a thorough understanding of applicable legislation, policies, administrative standards of practice, and generally accepted accounting principles.
Key responsibilities include:
- Financial advice and analysis, preparing budgets and forecasts, overseeing dedicated funds and additional financial and HR responsibilities.
- Designs and implements a quality assurance program that guarantees adherence to legislation and departmental policies
- Leads and supports a team of administrative professionals ensuring effective delivery of core services to clients and stakeholders
- Oversees contract administration for the Centre
- Oversees capital asset management and procurement of equipment, materials and services for the Centre
- Records management that guarantees adherence to legislation and departmental policies;
- Supports delivery of the Centre’s Occupational Health and Safety program
Qualifications
The minimum requirements for this role are a high school diploma and four (4) years of related experience.
Assets include:
- Experiences in financial administration, such as preparing reconciliations, financial analysis and reports
- Contract management, policies and procurement
- Supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience or knowledge in software, such as SAP (1GX); FIRES; CAS; CARS; INNfinity software; Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Directly related experience or education will be considered on a one-for-one basis.

Salary
$2,017.62 to $2,480.72 biweekly ($52,659 – $64,746 / year)
Notes
This role is a full time, permanent role with the weekly hours as 36.25, Monday to Friday, 815 AM to 430 PM.
