MaKami college has unique “research and development” opportunities in the field of Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality and 3d Technology. You will work with our IT Team to develop educational VR/AR applications while creating new educational experiences for MaKami Staff and Students. Creating your own 3d environment you will be laying the groundwork for numerous educational applications and new technology classrooms.
The objective of the role
Designing and updating education-oriented learning applications for Virtual and Augmented reality. Designing Virtual Reality Systems extensions and inventing VR landscapes for educational use. Creating 3d enabled classrooms and communication technology.
Experience:
- Experience with Unity (Unreal engine is an asset)
- Portfolio of previous 3D and VR development
- Experience with HTC Vive setup and usage
- Experience in holographic stage technology is an asset
- Experience in creating 3d and holographic videos is an asset
- Experience in creating 3d environments
- Experience with electronics is considered an asset
- Working knowledge with either HTC and/or Oculus
- Working Knowledge in C#, JavaScript, C++
Education & Profile
- Computer Science or related Degree
- Programming experience is an asset
- Game creating experience is an asset
- Experience in VR/AR is an asset
- Creative
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to learn and improve
