Job description: Responsibilities:
Duties and qualifications consist of (but not limited to):
- Prepare all aspects of the food production for Vista 18 according to hotel standards and sanitation practices.
- Working closely with the Sous Chef to ensure the food quality, safety and presentation operational success of the department adhering to Food Safety and WorksafeBC standards.
- Practice sanitation and safety daily to ensure total customer satisfaction.
- Cleaning of walk in, storage and refrigerators for stock rotation and ensure all equipment in work area is properly cleaned.
- Report any equipment in need of repair to the Sous Chef and the Chef de Cuisine.
- Perform other duties as necessary and assigned.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- A Minimum of 3 years experience in similar position required.
- A Valid Food Safe Level One certification required.
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, multi-functional team environment required.
- Requires good communication skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to promote a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and employees.
- A Formal culinary education an asset.
Recommended Training:
- Salary/Wage: $17.01 – $21.26
