Job Description

Points is looking for a Scrum Master to join our Product Delivery team for a full time permanent position in our Toronto office.

We are looking for a Scrum Master who takes pride in ensuring product engagements run efficiently and effectively. You will work with scrum teams for the delivery of projects with multiple product components and features. You will work in a complex, ever-changing software development environment to deliver a high quality product to our partners.

Reporting to the Manager, Scrum & Software Project Management, the Scrum Master will be responsible for:

  • Leading scrum teams to ensure the successful delivery of feature enhancements to our portfolio of loyalty software products in a SaaS based environment.
  • Collaborating closely with other scrum teams, Software Engineering, Delivery Services, Relationship Management, Marketing, Support Services and Product Management.
  • Developing Agile teams into a high performing team. Motivating team members and influencing decisions without formal authority.
  • Helping the team stay focused & organized and making the team’s work visible and transparent to stakeholders
  • Ensuring the Agile Scrum processes are followed when appropriate, and ditched when necessary.
  • Understanding and communicating the impact of changes or new information on team velocity and their predictability

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ of experience leading a scrum team in a software development company.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Background and experience in project management.
  • Possessing a technical background. You’ll interface heavily with our software engineers and need to speak their language.
  • Experience working in complex, multi-project multi-team environments with a large number of stakeholders.
  • Good working knowledge of Jira software.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is an asset.
