What we need

Supporting the Director, Food & Beverage, the Senior Restaurant Manager will be responsible to ensure the satisfaction of our guests while overseeing the smooth running of front-of-the-house operations in a complex, high-volume, multi-unit restaurant operation. With the support of your management team, ensure training and planning of personnel as well as the quality of services offered to customers, ensuring a best-in-class, trouble-free restaurant experience engaging our Teams to deliver our mantra of “Leave Your Troubles Behind”.

What you’ll do

Management Activities: planning, organization, and control

  • Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the front-of-the-house team;
  • Ensure management of all point of sale operations;
  • Develop and ensure the application and enforcement of company standards and procedures;
  • Ensure the respect of standards and laws on alcoholic beverages, hygiene, sanitation, health and safety at work;
  • Keep abreast of industry trends to maintain an offering and service that meets the needs of guests;
  • Collaborates in the optimization of restaurant revenues;
  • Resolve any problem, deal with any unforeseen event, or customer complaint, ensuring the quality of the guest experience;
  • Perform other related tasks.

Leadership and collaboration

  • Determine priorities, workloads and work schedules;
  • Ensure the recruitment, selection, training, development and evaluation of staff;
  • Ensure the management, motivation and development of the restaurant teams to provide a high level of guest service;
  • Maintain a work climate conducive to the retention and mobilization of personnel;
  • Ensure the implementation of changes required for the smooth operation of the sector.

Profile needed

What is the profile needed in order to be successful:

  • College degree in Tourism, Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major or relevant experience;
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in Hotel and Restaurant with (3) years of experience in a management position;
  • Strong sense of hospitality;
  • Food Handling and Occupational Health and Safety certification, an asset;
  • Knowledge of restaurant POS;
  • Knowledge of wine, beer, drinks and gastronomy, an asset;
  • Ability to resolve issues quickly; action and results-oriented;
  • Possess strong interpersonal and social skills; sense of challenge, perseverance;
  • Inspiring and dynamic leader;
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers, managers and other associates;
  • Strong organisational skills; from planning to follow-ups as well as professional rigor.
