  • Conducts coaching and performance management meetings as needed and ensures all appropriate documentation is completed
  • Schedules all direct reports and manages daily labour and ensures it is within budget
  • Leading with the management and coordination of all aspects of the operations including: greeting, seating, food running, steps of service, table settings, product knowledge, reservations, meal plans/vouchers, POS updating & operation, alcohol service and policy
  • Lead and collaborate with the maintaining and ordering of all essential tools for service execution i.e. Glass, china, linens, stationary, liquor, printer paper, teas & coffee
  • Actively contributes to the restaurant marketing brand management through promos and social media campaigns
  • Yield group reservations to ensure service levels are met and revenues are maximized
  • Drives the development of new business
  • Ownership of beverage controls, inventories, ordering and receiving
  • Supports the Assistant Manager to ensure goals are being met or exceeded
  • Liaise with kitchen team to ensure operational success and food quality
  • Liaise with all hotel department as necessary to ensure total guest satisfaction
  • Daily opening floor checks and closing floor checks
  • Managing Employee Relations
  • Oversee and execute evening functions for the banquet department
  • Controls the onsite liquor inventory and ordering procedures
  • Oversee and support all departments of the hotel in the evenings as required
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management or supervisorial role
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry. Experience within a hotel
  • food and beverage environment considered an asset.
  • Serving it right certification mandatory
  • Food safe mandatory
  • Super host certification an asset
  • Excellent command of the English language – written and verbal. Other languages an asset
  • Possess a positive attitude and works well with other team members
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to take initative
