General Manager – Trickle Creek Lodge
Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the position of Trickle Creek Lodge General Manager. This is a full time year-round position, reporting to the Kimberley Alpine Resort GM.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator have greatly developed organizational skills, being able to thrive within a high-pressured environment.

Job Description Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated Hotel Manager to take control of the day-to-day operations of our amazing hotel.
As Hotel Manager you will work with, and develop, the team to provide exceptional guest service, continually exceeding the highest possible standards while overseeing the smooth running of the hotel’s operations ensuring the hotels objectives are met and maintained at all times through maximizing occupancy, revenue and maintaining and building the reputation of the hotel.
As Hotel Manager you must be a real team player, while being able to adapt and take charge in a variety of situations. You will have the highest attention to detail, while maximizing all sales opportunities for new and existing guests and training your team to deliver the same.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for day-to-day management of the Hotel, managing employees, planning, marketing, coordinating and administering hotel services.
Ensure consistency and excellence in all operations of the Front desk, housekeeping/janitorial and Maintenance.
Revenue Management and distribution strategy, manage rates and inventory across all channels.
Monitor, audit and verify financial transactions to maintain accuracy and ensure correct procedure.
Assist with the recruitment, training and development of employees, with a strong focus on engagement, productivity, health and safety and elevated guest experience.
Ensure that the appearance and conduct of the hotel team is at all times consistent with the company brand.
Ensure that staffing levels and expenses are within budget.
Manage scheduling in accordance with the labour targets and the Collective Agreement
Approved payroll processes in an accurate and timely manner
Generate and distribute management reports
Handle, investigate and resolve guest concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Respond to guest reviews.
Manage owner bookings, attend quarterly and annual strata meetings. Communicate with owners when they have questions or concerns.
Maintain effective communication with other departments to fulfill the overall resort objectives
Support and maintain all aspects of the Resort safety and injury management program.
implement and maintain very high, consistent key standards as per RCR policies and procedures.
Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for the hotel departments
Build relationships with vendors
Evaluate staff and Management performance
Work with the union, following the collective agreement for the hotel employees. Participate in union bargaining.
Qualifications
Post secondary education in business or hotel management required
3 – 5 years supervisory/management role required
Proven experience and strengths in Resource Management, Critical thinking, leadership, team building and conflict Management required.
Ability to demonstrate organization in a fast-paced environment while acting as a team player and manage a large variable work load, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned work.
Proficient in English both verbally and written
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Proficient working in POS hotel system preferred
Must be energetic, enthusiastic and self motivated.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
