Position: Front Desk Agent

Department: Front Office, Lizard Creek Lodge & Fernie Slopeside Lodge

Location: Fernie Alpine Resort

Reporting to: Front Office Manager

Availability: SEASONAL

Lizard Creek Lodge and Fernie Slopeside Lodge are looking to fill the position of Front Desk Agent, serving the hotels at Fernie Alpine Resort by working a variety of AM, PM and occasionally Night Audit shifts across both properties. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the ideal candidate will display professionalism, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work independently with a focus on accuracy and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Duties:

  • Ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
  • Seek out and act upon opportunities to assist guests
  • Complete hotel reservations, maintaining hotel booking and cancellation policies
  • Complete guest check-in & check-out processes
  • Respond to guest communication and transfer calls
  • Assist guests in a polite and timely manner regarding all hotel and resort services
  • Review daily Front Office operations including guest accounts
  • Perform the day end process for the hotel and set up the following day
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to create exceptional guest experiences
  • Abide by RCR and Hotel policies, Employee Handbook guidelines and Safety Management Program
  • Other tasks as requested by Management
  • Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
  • To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred

Offering Full time & Part time hours.
