Job Overview
Job title: Analyst, Residential Property Management
Job description: The Analyst, Residential Property Management is responsible for supporting the Residential Property Management teams through providing high quality property management and Homeowner Association (HOA) financial analysis. This position will be a resource to the Residential Property Management teams (Managers, Directors, VP/SVP) for all regions regarding carrying cost budgets, governing documents, and property management matters. The role will have exposure and accountability in supporting our existing residential properties and developing projects.
Key Activities
Analysis and Research
- Assist the Residential Property Management team in harvesting and analyzing financial and operational data to support labor and cost modeling for developing projects (types of costs, cost allocations, market/internal cost benchmarking)
- Assist in reviewing and researching industry practices and local requirements regarding taxes, insurance, union, licenses for developing projects
- Support day-to-day analysis and reporting process for financial, project structures and governing documents across all residential properties
- Assist the broader Residential team to leverage technical skills and improve productivity for all analysis work
Development and Maintenance of Budgets and Financial Models
- Assist with the compiling, organizing, and drafting of carrying cost budgets for developing projects
- Gather relevant cost data from comparable properties, as well as researching local market as required
- Verify and document all preliminary assumptions prior to review by Director/Manager
- Assist with the preparation of cash flow forecasts and other budgets for pre-opening projects if necessary
Project Review and Support of Open and Operating Projects
- Assist with the compilation and analysis of property’s financial and operational data to support scheduled and ad hoc reviews of existing residential operations on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis
- Assist with review process of yearly budget and reforecast for residential operations
- Support the monitoring of financial, operational and property management trends for residential operations and provide questions and feedback
- Assist and support Operations Finance on financial initiatives and provide Residential feedback
- Support site reviews as required
Residential Collateral and Tools
- Assist with compiling, organizing, and maintaining various tools to support project reporting at different stages, including dashboards and project summaries
- Assist with putting together handover packages, presentations, and orientation materials to onboard pre-opening teams

Education and Experience
- University Degree with a focus on accounting, finance, real estate, property management, or business
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
- Professional accounting designation (CPA) or working towards one preferred
- Hospitality and mixed-use exposure preferred
- 3-5 years of related experience in industry finance/accounting and project analysis
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience in using financial management software – SUN, FOCUS, Hyperion, etc.
- Ability to learn and understand additional technical knowledge and skills as required
- Understanding of the branded residential/real estate, vacation home market and industry
- Good understanding of the hotel market, particularly the luxury segment
