As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities
The Application Architect – Data Platform, Cognitive and Analytics role is in the AI and Advanced Analytics practice. This position requires strong experience and documented success with the MS Azure toolset including Azure Kubernetes Systems (AKS). This is a hands-on position that combines strong verbal and written communications working in a fast-paced environment to deliver results utilizing the SAFe Agile framework.

Key responsibilities:

• Support deployments of code developed to higher environments
• Manage activities related to Azure File and Sync & Azure Stack
• Perform setup, configuration, and deployments using Azure toolset
• Analyze and enhance underlying scripting technologies and existing setup
• Scope and analyze existing infrastructure and network configuration
• Report and advice regarding measures related to upgrades, enhancements, or new initiatives
• Manage and organize multiple tasks and priorities under considerable pressure
• Produce high-quality results with attention to details
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in time-sensitive situations and prioritize multiple projects with similar deadlines
• Document processes and develops presentations that facilitate internal and external communications
• Support technical discussions with a diverse group of developers, product owners, and support subject matter experts.
• Learn new technologies, frameworks, open-source tools and development languages.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 12 years of implementing/supporting deployments to higher and lower environments.
• 6 years supporting environment build and middleware administration.
• 5 years with virtualization technologies from any vendor.
• 3 years as Azure cloud architect/middleware administrator.
• 3 years with scripting (Batch, Bash, PowerShell, Python, other).
• 2 years in cloud maintenance, testing, implementation, and multi-platform production support.
• 1 year with MS Azure platform, including machine image, networking, load balancing, disaster recovery and storage components.
• 1 year using Azure CLI, Storage Explorer, generating Shared Access Signatures for Azure Blob objects.
• 1-year provisioning / configuring Azure SQL DB, Azure Monitoring, App registrations in Azure AD, DNS Zones in Azure, Azure Key Vault.
• XML and JSON experience.
• Knowledge of architecture, design, and system engineering of enterprise systems using Enterprise Architecture, ITSM, PM, Process Improvement, and Maturity methodologies and frameworks.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Master’s Degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related STEM fields.
• Experience working with SAFe Agile framework.
• At least 1 year of experience with Informatica IICS application integration component.
• Experience delivering complex consulting services projects.
• Experience working with government state and local clients.

Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
